ECOTECH LABEL
To promote greater environmental transparency in the industry and infrastructure sectors and to support sustainable choices, Siemens launched the EcoTech Label, a seal that identifies products with high environmental performance throughout their entire life cycle, reinforcing the company's commitment to the growing demand for sustainable products.
EcoTech Seal: supporting sustainable and conscious choices.
Methodology
The Siemens EcoTech Label is based on robust eco-design criteria, assessed through the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Products are analyzed in three dimensions: sustainable materials, efficient use, and circularity. All EcoTech products are manufactured with 100% of renewable energy, using biomass-based plastics, promoting energy efficiency and durability. The initiative integrates Siemens Robust Eco Design and the DEGREE framework, with clear sustainability goals.

Results
The label already covers products such as the SENTRON ECPD, which reduces carbon emissions by up to 50% compared to traditional solutions and replaces up to ten conventional devices, reducing (depending on the application): 1.53 kg of materials per unit; up to 80% of electronics; 90% of metals and 90% of plastics; and the Simatic IPC BX-39, with 30% more energy efficiency. In Brazil, lines such as SITOP, SIMATIC, LOGO!, DESIGO, 3VA and 3WA circuit breakers already meet EcoTech criteria. By 2024, the products and solutions sold by Siemens will have enabled customers to avoid approximately 144 million tons of CO2e throughout their life cycle.
