step by step NetZERO
O Net Zero Step by Step (in English, The Climate Drive), a pioneering digital solution created by companies for companies, aims to accelerate climate action and decarbonize businesses and value chains. Developed in collaboration with more than 40 global companies and the University of Oxford, the platform is now in beta and available with all its features, with plans for a full launch by 2024.
The mission of The Climate Drive is to support companies in their emissions reduction goals by centralizing the latest knowledge on corporate carbon neutralization and providing industry-specific guidance for decarbonization. By 2030, more than 50,000 companies are expected to use the platform, covering around 30% of global emissions. Launched by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and developed in close collaboration with CEBDS and more than 40 global companies, as well as academic partner Oxford Net Zero (University of Oxford), this platform is an innovative milestone in the fight against climate changes.

THE 3 solutions from FOOTSTEPS NET ZERO
- 1 - Net Zero Guide
A complete “manual” to guide the corporate journey towards carbon neutrality. From start to finish, the guide covers the essential steps to achieving carbon neutrality. The definition of clear goals stands out, followed by concise guidance on prioritization, planning and effective implementation of emission reduction actions. Additionally, the manual provides insights into reliable and credible disclosure of actions taken.
- 2 - Action Library
A collection of decarbonization solutions with implementation guidance.
- 3 - Carbon Neutrality Readiness Assessment
An assessment developed by researchers at Oxford Net Zero and Oxford's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, which will serve as a guide for companies to assess for themselves their organization's readiness against the common expectations of more than 30 initiatives and standards of Carbon Neutrality and identify key next steps to align with them.
The platform was shaped in close collaboration with more than 40 companies to test and improve the value proposition. Companies such as CLP Holdings Limited, Iberdrola, National Grid, Philips, SAP and Unilever contributed by publishing their best practices and specific implementation guidance.
The Climate Drive team is working closely with businesses, academics, industry experts, the We Mean Business Coalition and WBCSD Global Network partners, in particular Australia (BCSDA) and Brazil (CEBDS), who will engage their members in the pilot phase.
