Faced with the lack of access to healthcare for truck drivers and communities along highways, Ipiranga created the "Health on the Road" program. The idea originated from local initiatives and evolved into a national program. The program's mobile unit has been traveling Brazilian roads since 2008, offering basic care, vaccinations, and wellness services at Rodo Rede service stations, promoting citizenship, health, and prevention.

Methodology

The initiative is carried out by a double-decker truck, approximately 110 m2, that travels throughout Brazil bringing health and prevention information to truck drivers, travelers, and the population that lives and works around Ipiranga Rodo Rede service stations. In practice, following pre-determined schedules and routes, the vehicle transforms into a spacious, modern, and comfortable service station. In addition to health services, the truck prioritizes the well-being and safety of drivers. It also has a room for educational lectures, where awareness materials on good traffic practices and disease prevention are distributed. Partnerships with health departments, the Federal Highway Police, concessionaires, and volunteers make the services possible. KMV technology ensures secure registration and integration with the loyalty program.
