Bill 182/2024, which establishes the Brazilian Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading System (SBCE), was approved in the Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies.
The text, approved with 336 votes in favor, 38 votes against and two abstentions, will now be submitted for presidential sanction.
The report by Rep. Aliel Machaco (PV/PR) maintained in the text all the changes approved by the Federal Senate, with the exception of art. 56 (investment of resources from insurance companies' technical reserves), where the text of art. 60 originally approved by the Chamber was reestablished.
